Man seriously wounded in shooting in Englewood

Officers responding to a ShotSpotter alert about 1 p.m. in the 7000 block of South Hermitage Avenue, found the man laying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his head.

Two people were shot, one fatally, July 24, 2021, in Gage Park.

An 18-year-old man was shot Jan. 9, 2021, in the 7000 block of South Hermitage Avenue.

An 18-year-old man was seriously wounded Saturday when he was shot in Englewood on the South Side.

Officers responding to a ShotSpotter alert about 1 p.m. in the 7000 block of South Hermitage Avenue, found the man laying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his head, Chicago police said.

He was rushed to Christ Medical Center, police said.

Area One detectives are investigating.
