A man was discovered shot and critically wounded Sunday night in University Village on the Near West Side.

The 29-year-old was discovered between two cars with gunshot wounds to his face and body about 11:45 p.m. in the 1000 block of West 14th Street, Chicago police said.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.

No one was in custody.
