Man wounded in overnight Kennedy Expressway shooting at Addison

Troopers were called to the shooting early Thursday in the southbound lanes of I-90, state police said.

A man was wounded in a shooting early Thursday on the Kennedy Expressway near Addison Street.

Troopers were called around 1:30 a.m. to the southbound lanes of I-90, according to Illinois State Police.

The man, 24, was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound and was expected to survive, state police said. The driver of the car he was riding in, a 24-year-old woman, was not injured.

A half hour earlier, a gunman killed a man during an argument at a Logan Square bus stop, then fatally shot another man and stole his car in Albany Park.

Police did not say if the shootings were connected.
