Woman fatally shot driving in Fifth City

Desiree Falls was driving about 11:35 p.m. in the 300 block of South Homan Avenue when she was shot in the head

A woman was fatally shot Friday night driving on the West Side.

A woman was shot and killed Friday night while driving in Fifth City on the West Side.

The 20-year-old was driving about 11:35 p.m. in the 300 block of South Homan Avenue when she was shot in the head, Chicago police said.

She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she later died, police said.

She was identified as Desiree Falls by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

No one was in custody.
