Man shot to death in Gresham

The man was on the street just before 6 p.m. Monday in the 7500 block of South Harvard Avenue when someone fired at him.

A man was shot to death Monday afternoon in Gresham on the South Side.

Devin Brissett, 24, was on the street in the 7500 block of South Harvard Avenue when someone fired at him just before 6 p.m., Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

He was hit in the chest and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
