Lawndale man charged in West Garfield Park carjacking

Drew Hill will be in bond court Wednesday.

Bail was denied Thursday for Jesus Garcia, 22, accused of fatally shooting a 25-year-old man on Sept. 17 in Logan Square.

A 24-year-old man was charged with a carjacking Dec. 5, 2020, in the first block of North Kilbourn Avenue.

A 24-year-old Lawndale man has been charged with carjacking a couple in December in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

Drew Hill allegedly carjacked two people, a 35-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man, Dec. 5, 2020, in the first block of North Kilbourn Avenue, Chicago police said.

Hill was arrested Monday after police identified him as the carjacker, police said.

He is due in bond court Wednesday on two felony counts of aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm.
