A 49-year-old man was fatally shot Saturday in East Chicago, Indiana.

Lamar Cade wounded in a shooting in the 1600 block of Broadway Street and pronounced dead at 10:07 p.m., according to the Lake County coroner’s office.

An autopsy confirmed he died from his gunshot wound and ruled his death a homicide, the coroner’s office said.

East Chicago police didn’t immediately release details.
