A woman was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident Tuesday evening in Lake View on the North Side.

The woman, 21, was crossing the intersection of Addison Street and Janssen Avenue about 6:10 p.m. when a Hyundai Elentra struck her, Chicago police said.

The woman was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in serious condition, according to police.

No one was in custody, police said.
