Man fatally shot leaving funeral service in East Garfield Park

Chicago police say a man fired into a crowd in the 3000 block of West Warren Boulevard, Chicago police said.

Two men were killed in a West Side shooting Friday afternoon.

A man was shot and killed after leaving a funeral service Wednesday afternoon in East Garfield Park, according to Chicago police.

A group of people had gotten into an argument in the 3000 block of West Warren Boulevard and one of them fired into the crowd leaving the service about 12:05 p.m., Chicago police said.

A 29-year-old man was shot and pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The men fled into a nearby alley and left in a car, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified the man as Arthur Ellis.

No one was in custody.
