Man found fatally shot in East Garfield Park

Officers found Edward Glen unresponsive in the 3300 block of West Maypole Avenue, Chicago police said.

An Edgewater man was shot to death Tuesday night in East Garfield Park, according to Chicago police.

Edward Glen, 47, was shot multiple times in his body at 9:35 p.m. in the 3300 block of West Maypole Avenue, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert and found him unresponsive on a sidewalk, police said. He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No one was in custody, according to police.
