2 face charges after beating man during carjacking in Little Village

Lashawn Harris and Jeffery Stevens were arrested after carjacking the man Monday in the 2300 block of South Lawndale Avenue.

A 55-year-old woman was charged with attempted murder in the stabbing of her ex-boyfriend on March 5, 2022, in East Garfield Park.

Two men are facing charges after attacking and carjacking another man Monday in Little Village on the Southwest Side.

The pair was arrested minutes after they allegedly beat a 48-year-old man before taking his car in the 2300 block of South Lawndale Avenue, Chicago police said.

After taking off, responding officers spotted the car and pulled it over, police said.

Lashawn Harris, 30, and Jeffery Stevens, 24, were taken into custody and were charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery with great bodily harm, according to police.
