Man found fatally shot in Lawndale

Officers found the 26-year-old on the sidewalk in the 3800 block of West Flournoy Street

Seven people were killed including five children in a crash July 31, 2022 in McHenry County.

A Berwyn man was found fatally shot Tuesday night in Lawndale on the West Side.

Cory C. Froio, 36, was found by officers on a sidewalk around 10:15 p.m. in the 3800 block of West Flournoy Street, with gunshot wounds to his head and abdomen, Chicago police said.

Froio had gunshot wounds to his head and abdomen and was pronounced dead at the scene, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s said.

No one was in custody.
