Man carjacked as he slept in his car in West Town

He was in his 2017 Hyundai Sonata in the 100 block of North Green Street when three people approached and one of them tapped the window with a gun, Chicago police said.

A man was carjacked as he slept in his car in West Town on the Near West Side early Tuesday.

He was in his 2017 Hyundai Sonata in the 100 block of North Green Street when three people approached about 1 a.m. and one of them tapped the window with a gun, Chicago police said.

The man complied and the group fled in his car, police said. The man was not injured.

No one was in custody.
