A 17-year-old boy was shot in an alley early Friday in Gresham on the South Side.

The teen was walking in an alley in the 8000 block of South Aberdeen Street when he was hot in the arm about 12:35 a.m., Chicago police said.

He went to Trinity Hospital, and was transferred to the University of Chicago Medical Center in fair condition.

No one was in custody.
