A Chicago man was shot on the Bishop Ford Expressway near south suburban Dolton on Tuesday.

The 34-year-old was traveling in the northbound lanes near 147th Street when someone in another car opened fire about 1 p.m. Illinois State Police said.

He went to a hopital with non-life threatening injuries, state police said.
