Man killed in Gresham shooting

Anthony Ramirez was on the sidewalk about 7:30 p.m. in the 600 block of West 80th Street when someone approached him and opened fire, police said.

A person was shot June 21, 2022, at North Avenue Beach.

A man was fatally shot Friday in Gresham on the South Side.

Anthony Ramirez was on the sidewalk about 7:30 p.m. in the 600 block of West 80th Street when someone approached him and opened fire, striking him in the head and neck, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

The 19-year-old of McKinley Park was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Area Two detective are investigating.
