Man killed in Galewood shooting

Leeshane Grayer, 26, was near a backyard about 7:50 p.m. in the 6000 block of West Bloomingdale Avenue when someone opened fire, striking him multiple times, officials said.

A man was fatally shot Wednesday in Galewood on the Northwest Side.

Leeshane Grayer, 26, was near a backyard about 7:50 p.m. in the 6000 block of West Bloomingdale Avenue when someone opened fire, striking him multiple times, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

He was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he was pronounced dead hours later, officials said.

An autopsy released Friday ruled his death a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said.

No arrests have been made. Area Five detectives are investigating.
