A Chicago man was sentenced to eight years in prison in connection to a shooting that wounded three people in Humboldt Park last year.

Eddie Jones, 28, was arrested after responding officers saw him running along the street and throwing a gun in a vacant lot near the scene of the shooting in the 800 block of North Homan Avenue on June 5, 2020, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.

Jones had previously been convicted of gun offenses and was prohibited from owning a gun, the office said.
