Woman fatally shot inside apartment in South Shore

The woman, 42, was shot in the chest in the 7800 block of South Constance Avenue, Chicago Police said.

A woman was shot and killed Wednesday evening in an apartment in South Shore.

The woman, 42, was shot in the chest just before 6:35 p.m. in the 7800 block of South Constance Avenue, Chicago Police said.

She was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 7 p.m., police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. She was identified as Holly Graves.

No one was in custody.
