Person stabbed to death in West Garfield Park: police

The incident happened in the 200 block of North Karlov Avenue, Chicago police.

A male was stabbed to death Friday afternoon in West Garfield Park.

About 12:45 p.m., Roosevelt Billups was on a sidewalk in the 200 block of North Karlov Avenue when someone stabbed him, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

The 53-year-old was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

There was no one in custody.
