A man was shot and seriously wounded in a home in Fernwood on the Far South Side Monday morning.

The man, 24, was shot several times around 4:30 a.m. in the 10100 block of South Yale Avenue, Chicago Police said.

He was hit in the face, back, neck and arms and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was listed in serious condition, police said.

No one was in custody.

On Saturday, three women were shot and wounded while driving through Fernwood. The victims, 21, 23 and 24, were headed west in the 200 block of West 105th Street when someone started shooting at their car around 12:50 a.m., police said.

The 21-year-old woman was shot once in the buttocks, the 23-year-old in the ankles and the 24-year-old in the leg, police said.

They went to Roseland Hospital, where their conditions were stabilized, police said.
