Bears add another DT in Toeaina

The Bears continued to bolster their weakened interior Wednesday, signing DT Matt Toeaina to a three-year contract.

They grabbed him off the practice squad of the Cincinnati Bengals where he spent the first 14 weeks of the season. Toeaina was a sixth-round draft pick from Oregon.

A native of Pago Pago, American Samoa, Toeaina is the second tackle signed in as many days after the club brought on board former first-round pick Jimmy Kennedy on Tuesday. Kennedy was signed to just a one-year deal as he wants to hit the open market in March.
