TE Mines promoted from practice squad

The Bears filled the roster spot cleared by DE Mark Anderson when he went on injured reserve earlier in the week by promoting TE Fontel Mines.

The undrafted rookie free agent from Virginia has been on the practice squad the entire season. He has converted from wide receiver, and could get long consideration in the offseason as John Gilmore could depart in free agency.

The Bears now have two open spaces on their practice squad and are expected to fill at least one with a defensive back.
