Pittsburgh coach Dave Wannstedt said Monday that quarterback Bill Stull is “questionable” for Saturday’s game against host Notre Dame (5-2). Stull suffered a concussion and a stinger in the Panthers’ 54-34 loss to Rutgers on Saturday. The junior was taken off the field on a stretcher after sustaining what was initially believed to have been a neck injury. He spent the night at a Pittsburgh-area hospital.Although medical tests were normal, Stull will undergo more evaluations this week.Sophomore Pat Bostick, who was 5 for 10 for 65 yards against the Scarlet Knights, would start if Stull is unable.Pittsburgh enter Robb Houser was also lost for the season after breaking his ankle. Notre Dame (5-2) is a 6.5-point favorite over Pittsburgh (5-2, 2-1 Big East) in the game.FOR WHAT IT’S WORTH: It’s hard to believe that Stull will play one week after spending the night in the hospital, especially with Pittsburgh hosting Big East rival Louisville next week. The injury likely means an expanded role for running back LeSean McCoy, who is averaging 119 yards and a Division-I best 12.0 points per game.
