DES MOINES, IA.–A nostalgic Barack Obama greeted some of his earliest supporters at an outdoor rally here on a sunny day. Iowa was crucial to Obama’s presidential quest because his January caucus win proved the African-American senator from Illinois could win in a state with a majority white population.
