Pamela Anderson is returning to TV. Relax, it’s not a “Baywatch” sequel. It’s worse: another reality show.
And while the new gig, launching this summer, promises to “offer an unprecedented look inside the life of one of todays most iconic superstars in the style of a uniquely shot documentary film,” there’s one thing it will not show: her kids.
Anderson, 40, has two sons 11-year-old Brandon and 9-year-old Dylan and she was emphatic about excluding them from the reality-show lens when rumors of this project started surfacing as early as last December that she and then-husband Rick Salomon were developing a reality series in the vein of “Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica.”
Anderson then wrote on her Web site that she would do a reality show “only to promote, and have people see what it’s like to create a show and be on stage starring in a big Vegas production.” At the time, she was performing in magician Hans Klok’s Las Vegas stage show.
She added: “The choices I have to make now are about quality of life. And meaning: Not about money or fame for no good reason.”
Anderson and Salomon were married in October in Las Vegas, but they annulled the marriage last month.
The E! network is rolling out other reality series that will include famous children, including one focusing on Denise Richards and her kids, as well as “Living Lohan,” which follows matriarch Dina Lohan as she deals with managing and fretting over her children, including troubled starlet Lindsay.
