DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR

In the morning, the President and the First Lady will welcome Prime Minister Singh of India and Mrs. Kaur to the White House. The arrival ceremony will be held on the South Lawn. This is open press and will be live streamed on www.WhiteHouse.gov/live.

The President and the Prime Minister will then hold a bilateral meeting in the Oval Office. They will then hold an expanded bilateral meeting in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed press.

President Obama and Prime Minister Singh will then hold a joint news conference in the East Room. This event is open press, but all riser positions have been allocated. It will be live streamed on www.WhiteHouse.gov/live.

In the afternoon, the President will hold separate meetings with his senior advisors, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and Secretary of Defense Gates and the Vice President in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed press.

In the evening, the President and First Lady will greet Prime Minister Singh and Mrs. Kaur on their arrival for the State Dinner. The arrival at the North Portico is pooled for television and open to correspondents and still photographers. The President and First Lady will host a State Dinner in honor of Prime Minister Singh and Mrs. Kaur on the South Lawn. Neighbors gathered early Sunday to celebrate the birthday of Kenneka Jenkins, who died of hypothermia in a Rosemont hotel freezer in 2017. Four people were shot, and a 28-year-old man was killed.

The officer’s corgi and a neighbor’s pit bull were fighting. The neighbor separated the animals and held his dog as the officer shot and killed the pit bull. “You shot my dog!” the neighbor can be heard saying in a video of the incident.
