DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
MONDAY, MARCH 16, 2009
In the morning, the President and the Vice President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing and the Economic Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed press. The President will then meet with senior advisors in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.
Later in the morning, President Obama and Treasury Secretary Geithner will meet with small business owners and community lenders in the Roosevelt Room. There will be a pool spray at the top of this meeting. Following the meeting, the President and Secretary Geithner will deliver remarks to small business owners, community lenders, and members of Congress in the East Room. This event will be open press, but all riser space has been allocated.
Small business owners and community lenders who meet with the President will drop by the stakeout location at 12:45PM.
Following the event, there will be a background briefing call at 1:15PM EDT with senior administration officials. Details about the call will be distributed tomorrow morning.
Later in the afternoon, President Obama will deliver remarks at the Department of Veterans Affairs. The remarks will be pooled press.
