Northwestern running back and return specialist Venric Mark left Saturday’s game at Wisconsin with a lower-body injury in the first quarter and was taken back to the locker room.

Mark was initially classified as probable to return but has since been downgrade to out for the remainder of Saturday.

Mark played sporadically in the season opener at Cal on Aug. 31, but sat out the next three games with a lower-body injury. He returned last week against Ohio State and appeared healthy.
