Brandon Marshall fined $10,500 for his lime-green cleats

Bears receiver Brandon Marshall was fined $10,500 by the NFL for wearing lime-green cleats against the New York Giants last Thursday.

Marshall tweeted a picture of the letter from league informing him of the fine on Wednesday morning.

Marshall wore the lime-green cleats to raise awareness for mental health issues. He has promised to match the fine via a donation to a charity.

“This fine is nothing compared to the conversation started & awareness raised,” Marshall said on Twitter.
