Ian Ziering and Kelly Ripa (as Tara Reid) in “Live With Kelly & Michael” spoof of “Sharknado.”

As always, the TV morning shows pulled out all the stops to outdo each other with creative Halloween costumes and themes.

At “Today,” Matt Lauer reprised Pamela Anderson’s “Baywatch” days — complete with blonde wig and red Speedo. Keeping with the theme Lauer’s co-anchor Willie Geist impersonated David Hasselhoff, while Savannah Guthrie and Natalie Morales did their “Laverne & Shirley” bit, Al Roker channeled Mr. T, and Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford did funny impersonations of Wilma and Betty from “The Flintstones.”

Over at “Good Morning America” the anchors did everything from portraying George Clooney in “Gravity” — complete with space suit (George Stephanopoulos) to Robin Roberts doing Kerry Washington’s Olivia Pope’s character on “Scandal.”

However, the best Halloween schtick — in my opinion — was delivered by Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan on “Live.” Ripa’s Miley Cyrus at the VMA’s was dead-on — gamefully supported by Strahan as Robin Thicke.

But the best was their well-produced spoof of “Sharknado” — with that surprise hit’s Ian Ziering playing along, as did a raft of A-listers, including Robert DeNiro, Cher, Robin Williams, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jerry O’Connell.
