Andy Pafko, 1945 Cubs World Series outfielder, dead at 92

Andy Pafko, former Cubs outfielder who played on the 1945 World Series team, died Tuesday in a nursing home in Stevensville, Michigan, according to jsonline.com.

A Boyceville, Wisconsin native, Pafko was a five-time all-star who began his career with the Cubs in 1943.

Pafko was named to the Cubs’ All-Century team in 1999 alongside Ernie Banks, Ryne Sandberg, Sammy Sosa and more.
