Tom Cruise sues — yet again

It’s not news that Tom Cruise won’t hesitate to go into court to sue someone he feels has wronged him. But when it comes to his current $50 million libel suit against the Bauer Publishing group and its InTouch and Life & Style celebrity weeklies it’s become very personal. A source close to the actor tells me “Tom went through the roof when he saw the ‘Abandoned by Daddy’ cover story [in InTouch]. … He adores that little girl and he was outraged by them putting [daughter] Suri’s photo on the cover with that headline.”

†And added twist, Cruise is well aware that German-based Bauer has been part of a wide-spread media campaign in Germany that is highly anti-Scientology. The actor’s church — for whom he is one of its biggest supporters and advocates — has been very much on the defensive in Germany, where Scientology is frequently attacked by government officials and members of the media as being a dangerous sect.

†While Cruise continues to pursue his lawsuit against Bauer and its magazines, RadarOnline has obtained a copy of the superstar’s recent deposition — in which he did admit he had gone as long as 110 days without seeing his daughter Suri in person.
