'Hurt Locker' star Renner truly hurting over missing pooch

Jeremy Renner may have played a bunch of tough guys in such films as his Oscar-nominated role in “The Hurt Locker,” but when it comes to his beloved French bulldog Hemi, Renner is a true softie.

The actor is said to be distraught by the loss of Hemi — who escaped through from Renner’s home in a Los Angeles area canyon, when a recent power outage triggered the opening of an electronically-controlled gate, allowing the pooch to run out.

Hemi was wearing a collar, but unfortunately no tags, not did he have a microchip implanted.

Renner is offering a $5,000 reward for his return.
