'Duck Dynasty' season debut ratings? Just ducky!

It likely will come as no surprise to the millions of “Duck Dynasty” fans — but the debut of the fourth season of the A&E hit show broke records Wednesday night. With an audience of 11.8 millon, “Duck Dynasty” became the most-watched nonfiction series telecast in cable television history.

The one-hour premiere included an introduction of previously unseen Robertson family member Alan Robertson and also featured the renewal of wedding vows by Duck Commander founder Phil Robertson and his wife, “Miss Kay.”

The show focuses on the Robertson clan and their successful duck call company, based in West Monroe, La.

Wednesday’s premiere was up 37% over the third season premiere, back in February.
