Come on down, Chicago!

CBS 2 Chicago is hosting a contestant search for the Price Is Right from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. September 12 at the Rivers Casino, 3000 S River Rd, Des Plaines.

“You will have thirty (0:30) seconds to creatively express why you should be the next contestant on THE PRICE IS RIGHT!”, according to information on the CBS 2 website.

I won a fax machine, dining room set and fine china on the Price Is Right in 1997. Having been through the contestant screening process, know that saying you have wanted to be on the Price Is Right since you were a child is not the type of creativity they are looking for. When I was on, that was the answer about 90 percent of those in line gave.

Another tip from this game show veteran – get there early for the audition.

You must be 18 years old to audition.
