Buddy Guy's Oyster Blues

Chicago blues great Buddy Guy loves his gumbo.

But he is crossing over at 8 p.m. Oct. 18 to headline Shaw’s Crab House 25th Anniversary Oyster Fest in the intimate parking lot on Rush Street between Hubbard and Illinois, one block east of Shaw’s.

The silver anniversary celebration begins on Oct. 14 and concludes on Oct. 18.

Guy’s opening acts are the Million Dollar Quartet, Tyler Bryant and the Showdown and Guy’s teenage guitar protege’ Quinn Sullivan.

Pre-sale tickets for the Oyster Fest Block Party are $20 per person with the promotional code: OYSTER25. Tickets go on sale to the general public on September 5th for $30 per person. All tickets can be purchased at Ticket Web.

The celebration kicks off on Oct. 9 with a book signing featuring Chef Sandy Ingber of New York’s legendary Grand Central Oyster Bar, in celebration of their landmark 100th anniversary. The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will feature a five-course oyster dinner highlighting dishes inspired by Grand Central and cooked up by Shaw’s Chef Arnie Tellez along with guest Chefs Giuseppe Tentori of GT Fish & Oyster and Brian Huston of The Publican in Chicago.

The price for the Grand Central Oyster Bar Dinner at Shaw’s Crab House is $125 per person (includes the cookbook, excludes tax and gratuity). In addition, Chef Ingber will be on hand to sign books from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Shaw’s Chicago Oyster Bar.
