Valerie Harper is rumored to be among this year’s cast of “Dancing with the Stars.”

The New York Daily News is reporting that actress Valerie Harper, diagnosed with terminal brain cancer earlier this year, has confirmed she’s headed to “Dancing with the Stars” when the new season kicks off on Sept. 16.

The ailing actress is reportedly already in rehearsals with her pro partner Tristan MacManus according to the article and “in great shape.” The article is citing TMZ.com as its source.

The article also reports that ex-Church of Scientology member and former star of “The King of Queens” Liah Remini is also among the celebrity lineup for the reality show.

The entire cast will be announced Sept. 4 on “Good Morning America.” Sun-Times television critic Lori Rackl takes a look at the new mechanics of the show in Tuesday’s Sun-Times in a chat with series host Tom Bergeron.
