Cyrus-Hemsworth romance continues to unravel — one tweet at a time

The long-expected demise of Miley Cyrus’ engagement to Liam Hemsworth may have taken another step toward oblivion Saturday — when the “Wrecking Ball” singer unfollowed the “Hunger Games” star on Twitter.

A source very close to Cyrus again told me Sunday, “as I’ve been telling you for weeks — they have moved on. This is all about putting the proper, face-saving spin on everything.”

For those who care, Hemsworth — as for this writing — still follows Cyrus.

Though reports of a split have been flying around for many months, the couple did make a joint appearance on the red carpet for Hemsworth’s latest film, “Paranoia,” back in August — their first such industry-oriented gig in more than a year, though they had been seen in public elsewhere.

Cyrus and Hemsworth announced their engagement in June, 2012 — but never set a wedding date.

“I’d bet very serious money that will never happen,” added the BZ source.
