SHARE Chicago entrepreneur Liz Salcedo dives into the 'Shark Tank' today on 'Katie'

Chicago resident Liz Salcedo is hoping for a shark bite.

The entrepreneur will be on Katie Couric’s syndicated talk show at 3 p.m. Friday on WLS-Channel 7 peddling her invention to the cast of “Shark Tank.”

The Wheaton College grad, with the help of her husband, Dan, and some Kickstarter cash, created a purse that doubles as a smartphone charger. Her fledgling company is called Everpurse.

ABC’s hit business show “Shark Tank,” whose cast includes Chicago inventor Lori Greiner, kicks off its fifth season tonight at 8 p.m. on WLS-Channel 7. Most of the cast members will be on “Katie” today talking about some of the show’s biggest success stories and promoting the upcoming season.
