Mark Wahlberg in the upcoming “Lone Survivor”

It’s not common for moviegoers to head to a multiplex — and actually run into a famous movie star they often watch on the big screen — plus that star’s director as well!

That was the case Monday as some eagle-eyed folks spotted Mark Wahlberg, joined by his “Transformers: Age of Extinction” director Michael Bay at the AMC River East movie complex. They were there for a private screening of Wahlberg’s upcoming “Lone Survivor.”

Afterward, the down-to-earth star happily posed for photos with fans.

Wahlberg, of course, has been in town filming the fourth instalment in Bay’s popular “Transformers” franchise.
