Adkins heads back to rehab — after many years

Trace Adkins

There’s a reason people in recovery say it’s “one day at a time” — no matter how many years they’ve been sober. For country singer Trace Adkins, his sobriety lasted 12 years — until he fell off the wagon during a recent Caribbean cruise. The singer checked into rehab for alcohol abuse after an alleged brawl with an impersonator on the Norwegian Pearl. The entertainer was headlining a seven-day country music cruise for Norwegian Cruise Lines. Apparently he was upset by a Trace Adkins impersonator singing karaoke to one of his songs — leading to a fight with the man.

Adkins disembarked at the next port — in Jamaica — and headed to rehab shortly afterward.
