DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR

FRIDAY, JANUARY 31, 2014

In the morning, the President and Vice President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

Later in the morning, the President and Vice President will convene a group of CEOs and other leaders around supporting best practices for hiring the long-term unemployed. There will be a pool spray at the top of the meeting.

In the afternoon, the President will hold an event to outline new efforts to help the long-term unemployed. The Vice President will also attend. Following these remarks, Administration officials will host two panel discussions on the topic. The President’s remarks and the panel discussion are open press.

Later in the afternoon, President Obama will take a virtual road trip across the country via Google+ Hangouts to discuss the issues and policies laid out in the speech with people joining from around the United States. This event will be streamed live on WhiteHouse.gov, YouTube.com/whitehouse and the White House Google+ page.
