The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a winter storm warning for northern Illinois, including Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. NWS models call for as much of 10 inches of snow around the southern edges of Lake Michigan starting Saturday evening and lasting until midnight Monday.
That’s rolling into plummeting temperatures Sunday night and forecast temperatures Monday in the -5 to -20 range.
