Loyola freshman Milton Doyle earned his third Missouri Valley Conference newcomer of the weeks honors Monday as the Ramblers split their first games in conference competition.Chicago native Doyle, who played at Marshall, averaged 10.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists against Indiana State and Missouri State. He scored eight points, with six rebounds and seven assists in a loss to Indiana State, then had 13 points, four rebounds and five assists i in the Ramblers’ 89-57 home victory Sunday against Missouri State.Doyle has won the newcomer award three times this season and also was named player of the week last month, sweeping both awards.Doyle is averaging 14.4 points per game for the Ramblers as their leading scorer.
