Tech products distributor Newark element14 is close to a deal to move its offices and about 350 employees to the West Loop from the Ravenswood neighborhood, chicagorealestatedaily.com reports.

Newark has its eye on 65,000 square feet in the 23-story office tower at 300 S. Riverside Plaza, real estate sources said.

The company has operated from a four-story headquarters at Ravenswood and Lawrence avenues since 1980. It sold the 135,000-square-foot building for $6.5 million in May.
