Ford making cars that brake for pedestrians

Ford Motor Co.’s next driver-assist system won’t steer the car for you, but it might keep you from hitting a wayward pedestrian. A windshield-based radar scans ahead of the car to detect objects in the path such as polls, other cars or pedestrians.
