Cops: Ford pickups stolen from McCormick Place parking lots

Ford pickups parked in McCormick Place lots are being targeted by thieves, stripped for parts and abandoned, according to Chicago Police.

The thieves use force to circumvent door and ignition locks, and steal the trucks, which are stripped for parts and abandoned, an alert issued Tuesday by police said.

The thefts all occurred in the late morning and afternoon hours on Jan. 18 and 19 in the 2300 block of South Lake Shore Drive, the 2900 block of South Moe Drive, and the 2300 block of South Moe Drive, police said.
