Two injured in I-57 rollover crash on Far South Side

Two people were injured Friday night in a rollover crash on Interstate 57 on the Far South Side.

The single-vehicle crash happened about 7:30 p.m. on I-57 near 103rd Street, authorities said.

A man and a woman, who were the only occupants of the vehicle, were taken to MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island with non-life-threatening injuries, Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford said.

“They’re pretty shook up,” Langford said.

As of about 7:45 p.m., at least one lane of the expressway remained closed as Illinois State Police investigated the crash, police said.
