A 26-year-old woman was shot near a bus stop Saturday night in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The woman was standing with two males near a bus stop in the 5900 block of South Halsted Street at 11:10 p.m. when a male wearing black hooded sweatshirt walked up and opened fire, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.

The woman was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital in “stable” condition with a gunshot wound to the right leg, Greer said.

No is in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
